Nope, region locks can't be broken through normal means.

I hope Nintendo eventually stops Region Locking, but it probably won't happen.

if the third party wants their game to be region free they can do it.

they won't though.

If you want to risk ruining warranty and possibly the system itself by enabling homebrew on Wii Mode, then yeah.

You can hack it, but that would take forever and there's no guarantee it would work

err not all PAL TVs run at 50Hz, mine runs at 60Hz. 50Hz TVs here in the UK is becoming something of the past. IE it's becoming obsolescent.

Agree on this I bought and Xbox 360 when I lived in Europe, I have since moved back to the States and it works perfecly on my TVs here.  (My biggest concern was the power supply and that wasn't even an issue)
