After having watched the whole thing (at least, what's available) I found its action intense, its characters likable, its villains actually fearsome, etc. The fact that it pulled my adrenaline and horror and sense of dark mystery around so effortlessly made me enjoy the whole ride.

In all honesty, AOT isn't good, it's just generic as hell and is overhyped.  You can see where the budget went, and it wasn't animation, just action.  Everything else suffered (5 minute recaps, even DBZ didn't do that) when you only focus on action.

Plus the fanbase is just as bad as the homestuck and MLP fanbases.

 

Yeah the characters and the humanity facing extinction due to monsters might be generic. The story has a lot of surprises later though. A lot less predictable than more common manga/anime.

Finished AngelBeats a few minutes ago. THE FEELS. I'll admit, at the beginning I really wasn't sure why I liked it and kept watching, but it's so good. This is one of the VERY few stories that have gotten my sad and close to crying. Yeah, I didn't cry at the ending. Sorry, it takes a LOT to make me cry.

Some people always have a cellphone on them. I'm so awesome I always have a 3DS.

Finished AngelBeats a few minutes ago. THE FEELS. I'll admit, at the beginning I really wasn't sure why I liked it and kept watching, but it's so good. This is one of the VERY few stories that have gotten my sad and close to crying. Yeah, I didn't cry at the ending. Sorry, it takes a LOT to make me cry.

Hopefully.
It was good, but 9.9/10 anime that air should be forgotten the season after they finished.

Which other animes have you seen?


Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Sword Art Online, Nobunagun, thirty episodes of Fairy Tail, a few episodes of Attack on Titan, and Angel Beats if I remember correctly.

Attack on Titan's been out for awhile now...doesn't everyone on tumblr and twitter know what it's like, or are there a bunch of people who lived under a rock the past few years?

 A lot of people that watch toonami rly don't watch weeboo japanese versions

I don't have cable, but wasn't there a dragonballz movie?

 

Toonami will probably get the full opening if they cut the 12 minutes of recap at the beginning of each episode.

 

I hope not, though, as Space Dandy deserved its full opening more than Eotenas.
