GTA San Andreas, keep in mind San Andreas was a STATE, not just a city


And GTA IV, which looks like 7-8 can fit inside the map

They screwed the pooch on the scale.

San andreas, at around 14 square miles is around twice the size of gta4, at around 7 square miles, and roughly half the size of red dead at 28 square miles.

With gtav's map being basically 50 square miles (49), San andreas's map should take up a bit over 1/3rd (.36) of the gtav map, gta4's should take up the smallest at 1/6th, and red dead should actually be a little over half of the gtav map.

How is this old news? Everything up till now was just a speculation, we never knew how the actual map looked like

Wow, I feel so envious for 360/PS3 owners right now. I do hope they don't make the map too large since travelling to the same location is such a pain, especially of this scale. I wonder it this is bigger than Panua (I think thats how you spell it) off Just Cause 2.

Nowhere close. Nowhere remotely close.

Just cause 2 was 400 square miles.
GTAV is 49 square miles.

GTAV will hopefully have a much more populated map, though. So that kinda makes up for the smaller size.

Yeah, in that regaurd jc2 is nowhere remotely close to gta5. It will more than make up for it.

I like big worlds, but there needs to be a balance between size and content density.

I have seen this map online before, I believe about 5days ago.

Also before that a lot of people make the fan map and posted pretty much the same thing that is in that map.

So to me it's at lest a few days old.
