Gta fanboys have went beserk. A bunch of them have created a petition (which was later removed) to Have Gamespot's Carolyn Petit fired. though I don't agree with Gamespot most of the time I think wanting someone to be fired over a game review is just stupid. Plus the comment section on the GS reveiw was filled with hate comments with many focused on her being transgendered. It is insane how far fanboys will go even though SHE GAVE THE GAME A 9 OUT OF 10! I am emberassed to be a gamer.

Yeah I've played GTA before, I just think it's overrated, people are gonna act this way when the sixth game comes out so wtf?

After what I experienced last night I have lost all hope for this generation. So this comes at no surprise.

I could equally argue the same about Mario games.  I don't like them, so I don't notice the improvements they put into them over the years.  However I still accept that they HAVE made improvements over the years, its not exactly the same game rehashed every time.

 

I have only done a few missions so far, nothing out of the ordinary for any GTA game.  However already it doesn't entirely feel like a GTA game to me.  This will be even stronger once I finally get into some of the new features of this version.  When online launches that will be VERY different from every GTA game of the past, mainly due to the fact only GTA IV had any online functions at all and it was very limited.

No, probably the same as all the other games. Sounds overrated.

And I can say it about GTA.

I honestly haven't enjoyed any of the console GTA's since San Andreas (this includes SA), since I think they take themselves far too seriously.
Chinatown Was was a nice game that gave me hope for the next GTA, but it looks like GTA5 is again going the overly serious route.

I completely agree with you. In fact BS comments even annoy me when they are on the side that I'm on.
To say a game is overrated is ridiculous. Saying that is saying someone else is wrong in how they feel about something.
Saying it when you haven't even played it is even more ridiculous.
