Anyone played Skyward Sword on the gamepad yet?  Is it awkward using the motion controls in front of/close to the really small screen?

Yes, It is quite awkward to swing the remote around in front of the tiny screen. I feel like a jackass. At least it works, though.

lol are you serious???

If so, YES.  It's part of the recent update!  The big catch is you can only use the Gamepad as screen.  You have to stick to the original input methods.

I just use the sensor bar on the tv or one of my wireless ones placed in an intelligent position from where i am playing. Its a referential system, it doesnt know the difference.Trying to use the tiny gamepad dots is silly.

But at least the GamePad recognises the input when you're trying to play with it so there is a chance for some games to be played with the GamePad directly I guess.

Only the GamePad notices the inputs, not the Wii U.

It's a bit like when you click the TV button while doing something else, the Wii U doesn't even know you've clicked the button, but the GamePad displays the image over the top of whatever else was showing.

So no, we probably won't be getting games played directly with the GamPad.
