It looks like the "clan" feature that allows people to form clans across consoles might not be coming to the Wii U version.

This article sums my thoughts on these idiotic 3rd party tactics on the Wii U.

Even with cross platform clans you can't do chat, so any teamwork is not possible.

I take it the WiiU version has party chat?

Well that's a damn shame, I was looking forward to that feature.

regardless of that though, is anyone else planning to buy COD: Ghost on the day of launch, or soon after it launches?

Wait. I never heard of this one, does that mean xbox-ps-wii u multiplayer, so it dosent matter what system? If its just kinda a friend group then I don't really care.

It's more like the latter.  From what I can tell, you do "compete" against other clans but it's more in terms of getting more points than other clans and then you get rewards for your clan.  They had this before in Call of Duty Elite and are changing it with Ghosts so that clans are cross-platform (except Wii U).

I have it pre-ordered on the Wii U, so you will see me online from day-one.

As a person who runs a Wii U COD clan, I am disappointed to hear that our version will be stripped of the in-game clan function, yet not surprised. It is a shame that us Nintendo fans must continue to trade a full COD experience with the addition of motion controls....which the Nintendo version is still the only to offer.

How does your CoD clan work?  If it's for older gamers it sounds like something I might be interested in.  Do you have regular times when clan-members play together or anything like that?

Since my PC isn't good enough to run Ghosts *internally screams* I have to get the Wii U version and after what happened with BO2 Wii U....I'm not very happy about that.

Anyway, This doesn't matter to me that much since I don't participate in clans .  Clans participate with me.

We don't demand any particular times, but every Friday and Saturday evening we celebrate COD and an end of a work week with what we dub as Frosty Pints. ;)
