Get them a Wii U.There's kiddy games like barbie, hot wheels, wii u play, etc. Those games aren't too challenging.

I'd get the Wii U. It's getting to the point where the Wii U is just picking up and having some more good games, while the 3DS is pretty much halfway through its life-cycle.

Wii Party U*

and it seems to be a great family game based off of the footage I've seen of it. Especially since they can entertain themselves and play it together.

I don't play games targeted for four year olds. Sorry.

You don't have to play a party game for the family to know the name of it.

Have you never played Strip Candy Land?

That being said, the Wii U is an awesome system, and can play ALL of the original Wii's games. You should be able to get some really fun older games for $5 or so (just read the review though. You don't want games like Ninjabread man).

Your kids may even like a Wii Mini. It plays all of the original Wii's games and is a third of the price of the Wii U.

I'll say the same thing that I say to everyone. Get a Wii U. If they don't like it, you will.

Well there's already new Super Mario Bros U.  We're less than a week away from Mario 3D World.  I'm pretty sure there are plenty of other games good for their age group already out, though I can't remember them off the top of my head.

Thats a tough decision....I like both systems...the 3DS has some cool games for 6 year olders, but then again so does the Wii U, 3D Mario land for the wii u look awesome and I thnk they would ahve loads of fun.  There are some cool games coming out in the future, but I am not sure how long you would want to wait for them, so 3DS is a good bet since they already have more games for that age group.

It depends on your kids. My 4yr old son has a ds and he knows how to play the Wii u. He plays Mario and pikmin 3. So either system would be good.
