I'm more excited for Tropical Freeze than X and Bayonetta 2 put together.

I like Snake Eater 3D more than the HD Collection Version of MGS3.

I liked Raiden before MGS4.

I love sonic & all stars- probably better than Mario Kart Wii.  I'd give the edge to it over Mario Kart 7, at least the Wii U version but they are pretty close.  Will be interesting to see how 8 compares- gonna guess that 8 will be better.

- Darksiders is the best Zelda

- Sonic Racing Transformed is best Mario Kart

- 3D fighting games are the worst fighting games

I think the Super Mario 3D Land/World games are worse than the New Super Mario Bros games.

I think Skyrim is "a piece of crap with a lot shiny things stuck to it" as some guy I can't remember once said. A game with a poor foundation that can't hold itself under pressure.

I think 3D Zelda games are terrible at open worlds. So much empty space everywhere.

I hate Assassins Creed with a passion.

Kingdom Hearts has a terrible plot and sub-par combat.

Hanako's route didn't make me cry, Lilly's route was dumb and Katawa Shoujo is a boring, poorly written Visual Novel.

Pokemen sucks.

Limbo sucks.

Journey sucks.

Fez sucks.

Super Meat Boy is one of the easiest platformers I've played. At least the game doesn't just outwardly suck like most of the indie masterpieces.

When the internet thought Miyamoto was retiring soon, they were saying "yay now nintendo games can have online and stuff!"

Obviously I can't say for sure but there's a good chance he's holding Nintendo back, though he might not be the sole problem. When I say 'holding them back' I don't mean it entirely as a bad thing as adding online features in itself isn't a bad thing but what is done specifically with that online functionality could be and what 'ruining everything he's ever made' means exactly will vary depending on a person's perspective. I mean, some may see adding DLC to Mario games to be 'ruining' it and depending on how it is done it may be.

 

Without Miyamoto they may be more willing to take risks with first-party Nintendo titles which could either pay off or blow up in their face. It was a bit presumptuous of me to say it's a realistic prediction but I do agree that it is a possible scenario.

You should try a game called Tribes Ascend. It's ftp as well, great game that challenges the conventions of shooters. It's just a little difficult since everyone online has been playing for a long time and will probably be better than you.

Problem? Is this too controversial for you? I couldn't get into Xenoblade, never played Bayonetta 1 or any Platinum Hack and Slash outside of the demo for Metal Gear Rising, and Performers are my favorite genre.

I can see why you wouldn't be hyped for Bayonetta, but X just looks incredible. Just because you couldn't get into Xenoblade doesn't mean X will be the same. I agree that tropical freeze looks great, but not that great. At most it'll be a great platformer, X could be one of the greatest games ever.

What if I told you it was the gameplay that made me not get into Xenoblade and X has the same kind? I'm more excited about Bayonetta than X because I liked what I played of Revengence. Also, opinions.

I think Mario and Zelda are seriously stale and should start relying on some more diverse IPs.

I honestly never liked Xenoblade, so I don't know whether I should be excited for X or not. If it's anything like Xenoblade, I'll probably hate it as well.

Other M is my favorite Metroid game.

Ocarina of Time is my least favorite Zelda game next to Skyward Sword.

PS4's library of games looks terrible for now, with nothing on the horizon that I'm interested in. Which is a shame, because I want to pick one up.

Kingdom hearts is dull as can be and this is from a massive RPG fan and almost never hates an RPG but KH is one.

 

Wii U if used right can have some of the best looking games this coming generation.

 

Can't stand anything about XBO and I usually buy all of them. Every previous gen I got them all. XBO has the horrid UI and again like 360 and OXB badly put together and failing hardware. It will take years of great exclusives that interest me and no a FPS or Halo or western stuff isn't it and a much lower price to have me even consider it.

 

I prefer my Vita to my 3ds.

 

Indie games have brought back the best era in gaming ever. the 1990's.

 

MS should drop out of the console race.

 

We need consoles to be consoles again and offer something different in each one. Wii U does. PS4/XBO much like 360/PS3 are basically the same.

It was better when SNES/Genesis/TG16  PS1/Saturn/N64 as they truly offered something different.

 

FFX is terrible and so is 13. Yeah I rarely dislike RPGs but Square managed to put out a lot of crap.

 

Blue Dragon is one of the best RPGs last gen and is better than Dragon Quest. IMO Mistwalkers second best game behind The Last Story. LO is 3rd.

 

David Cage games suck all of  them.

 

Lost Planet 1-2 and EX Troopers some of the best TPS last gen.

why does skyrim get so much crap by no means was it the best ES game but controversial opinion I liked it better than morrowind but also when you say it has the same battle system as morrowind that's just factually wrong it's not an opinion the battle systems are just different

I actually want another videogame market crash so we can purge the market of this AAA publisher greed. Sure, it would kill 99% of the industry, but EA/Activision/nearly every company has been acting like greed machines.

 

We'll probably get one. We're steadily walking down that road, and all this "greed" stuff is a pretty obvious sign of it. They're trying to get revenue from other markets by turning consoles into multimedia devices.

 

Blockbuster games will be less frequent and much more scaled-back. The few games that are released will be on PC, and they'll be littered with more of the greed stuff you hate (required internet connection, microtransactions, freemium, etc). Single player games will become a rarity, and most games will be MMO's or FPS'.

 

You'll be looking back at right now as a golden age when it does happen.

Charizard is my favorite pokemon and nothing will make me like him any less.

I enjoy the multiplayer in Metroid Prime 2.

I enjoy Lego Star Wars (complete saga FTW).

Star Wars Battlefront is actually really bad (at least on PS2. It runs at about 24 FPS, the AI is dumb, and it's really easy. I never got to play it online, so that may have been better. I still love the game though, and I'm really happy DICE is making a new one).
