So I met a woman online who told me she loved me at one time. It lasted a little while but then I dumped her because she was quite a bit older than me and I wasn't very attracted to her. I should have just stayed with her though, but it's too late now. The reason why I should have stayed with her is because I'm not the greatest catch - it's unlikely that I'll do better without a lot of work.

Also, a different story. There was a person who was friends with me and friends with an enemy of mine. We were friends for quite awhile but lost contact for awhile and when we talked again, this guy acted terrible and also posted my private conversations with him on the public internet for people "to laugh at". These things happen, but still.

You should spend time putting yourself out there instead of complaining about it on an internet site if you want a relationship that badly. If you were looking for advice, that's your advice. Sorry for sounding so harsh, but I don't see any other way of putting it. Plus I agree with Waller.

Don't worry about being harsh. And also, I have been putting myself out there. And I also realize that losing 80 lbs will increase my chances of finding someone - I seemed to do a lot better before I put on some pounds, whether on the internet or in real life.

I'm just saying that we all have problems, and here are mine right now. Doesn't mean that no one could potentially post helpful advice.
