Although she doesn't have a  full black outline, some characters don't either, especially in some of Pit's pictures where his wings don't have the black outline.

The outline actually seems to be determined by colour, just becoming a much darker version of whatever it's touching. Furthermore, it was brought up on Smashboards that the second leaked picture was just her Idol from Uprising... When, in actuality, it's not. The stance she's making is similar, but completely different.

 

This leak just feels way too legit compared to so many others.

 

EDIT: Also take note that (compared to her Idol from Uprising) her eyes are larger, and her nose is rounded instead of coming to a more defined point.

I think they are trying to even it out, make there be more females to counter the male characters.

This is one of the character I REALLY wanted in smash, although I'm being picky when I say this, but her face seems a little off,  her nose is too long and her cheeks/smile seems a little different compared to uprising

Mario is Nintendo's mascot, and most-known series. It warrants a higher amount of characters.

 

Kid Icarus is a series that was dead for around a couple of decades, only recently to have been revived for one game. It's not comparable to Mario at all.

 

It's fine to have Pit. But a second character is far too excessive, and showing obvious bias, especially when series like Metroid - which have stayed relevant throughout all of these years - only has one rep.

I feel like there's a pretty huge distinction between showing bias, and having relevant characters. 

 

While you're 100% correct with just about everything including how something like Metroid has stayed relevant throughout all these years, I'm not entirely sure who else would be an interesting fighter from a series. The only character I can think of is someone like Ridley, who even still I feel wouldn't work for a number of reasons.

 

Palutena on the other hand could be a potentially interesting character (we haven't seen her in action yet so I can't say for sure), and has had a game released relatively recently.

Because those 5 Mario reps, 5 Zelda reps and 6 Pokemon reps are definitely showing a ton of bias to the 1 kid icarus rep and 3 Kirby reps.

Actually, while you're for the most part correct, she is actually a boss in Uprising, even if it is some twisted version of her.
