At the Nuremberg toy fair held last week, toy maker Jazwares had a booth showcasing it’s Sonic toys along with this very interesting sign.

If this is correct, it would suggest that Sega have already started work on a new Sonic game which is heading to the PS4, Xbox One and the Wii U.

We all know that Sega intends to release a 3rd exclusive Sonic game on a Nintendo platform at some point, however this photograph would suggest that Sega are already working on the other next gen systems and a Sonic game is in development or at the early planning stages.

If you’ve not been keeping track, this is how the Sonic games are currently lined up.

• Sonic Lost World (2013)
• Mario & Sonic at Sochi (2013)
• Unannounced 3rd Nintendo exclusive (expected 2014).
• Unannounced Next Gen Sonic title (2015).

What is however significant about this image is that there are no logos for any current gen consoles, suggesting that all future Sonic games will be on next gen systems.

I wonder if we'll see any advertising for Mario & Sonic at the Olympics anytime soon.... Seems like it would be a decent idea......

That title is 2015, there is still an unannounced 2014 title for Wii U and or 3DS. Looks like they are skipping PS360 for the 2015 title

I wonder if we'll see any advertising for Mario & Sonic at the Olympics anytime soon.... Seems like it would be a decent idea......

Well, it doesn`t say what kind of game it is. Could be another racing title.
If it`s a platformer, 2014`s title could actually be a 2D title or big surprise: a Mario and Sonic crossover RPG.

 

Those are my bets!

Awesome last 3 Sonic Games been great. Lost Worl returned the series more to it's Roots in level design and philosophy. Colors/Generations great games still relied too much on speed. Lost World like the Genesis games has branching paths a lot of  platforming and momentum based. keep up the momentum and speed is the reward.

Sega really is back on track with Sonic. People who shout hate do so because it's popular.

Sonic already has a movie. The one with the presidents daughter, metal robotic and the marky mark owl.
