Online reviews say it's scary as hell and have decent scores for the game. Anyone played it on PC and what are your thoughts?

Isn't that the horror game set in an asylum? If it is, I've seen bits and pieces of a play through, and it's insanely intense. Gruesome even. There is a lot of running away from things, more hiding, things opening lockers, closests, etc, and looking for you. If you're interested in watching a bit of a lets play (sort of) pewdiepie did one. If you get past his silly intro, the guy is actually pretty cool. I definitely could not play outlast, little too much for me. Horror movies are one thing, but this game looks too intense for me ^^

Yes, I love it. I have played through it 4 times so far. It loses it's scariness and most emersiveness after the first playthrough (like most games), but I still find it to be fun after playing it.

It is, my answer.
Молоту войн и рокоту гроз вольные рати верны, где ветром могучим из братины звёзд рунные стяги пьяны.

Having played most of it on pc the game is good but not too scary, I've only been jump scared twice I believe and the feeling of tension goes away quite quickly.
The environments are quite fun to explore and quite gruesome but stuff like that doesn't really effect me in games so the horror aspect fall short for me but if you find bunches of bloody corpses and people dead and hanging scary then you'll probably like the environments.
The main problem is the game tries to make itself too much like a generic game, there's a lot of bland objectives like switch on 3 circuits to power a generator which are just tedious and sometimes frustrating, it's also one of those games where you can't fight back, only hide. The problem is after running away from the first 5 enemies it's gets quite boring and once again tedious.
There are some good moments and the games ok just not great.
If you're easily scared and you don't mind some repetitive gameplay then I think you'll really enjoy the game, as for me it's just another ok game

I saw this game way back when it first came out. Didnt look into it to much then since im not a pc person.
But once they said it was coming to the ps4 i started youtubing it. I saw that video ^ and that dude is crazy but the game is scary.
Seems like it will be good but might have to play it in the day time.

Ah cool, thought is was free but that's great news. PS Plus has some serious bang for your buck.
@Gecko, few on here say it's not that scary so if you have a PS4 check it out, you big girls blouse! lol

I thought it was great at first and had some genuine scares...outside the jump scares had some other good moments. The rainbowty ending ruined it tho. Not the result..the explanation.

Christ this is good! Yea, lot's of jump scares but man the atsmosphere is incredible, as is the sound.
You can't do anything but record footage, hiding and running away is your only option. No fighting, no guns, just a creepy building and weirdos lol.
Pretty scary but if you want even more plug some headphones in the DS4.
