A man is accused of pulling a gun on a girl scout when she came to his door selling cookies, reports CBS Los Angeles.

Police arrived at the scene on Sunday after receiving an assault with a deadly weapon call and arrested the suspect, 59-year-old John Dodrill of Temecula, Calif.

According to police, the victim – a minor – was going around the neighborhood selling cookies when Dodrill allegedly opened his door and pointed a gun at her.

The girl’s father saw the alleged confrontation and called authorities.

Dodrill was arrested without incident, and police said a weapon was seized as evidence in the case.

Well this is what happens when you practically hand guns out with your passports.

We're just lucky no one died (this time).

I have a laundry list of mental conditions but stories like this conforms why I fear this world. Tho I am invert I get out as much as I can but people freak me out and ran into a few crazies and a few live here in the building. I had a neighbor growing up who built a 6 foot high fence walled his house in concrete...seriously. Had security cams everywhere and barbed wire on top of the six foot fence. The guy was super paranoid and then one day me and my friend were playing at the old abandoned gas station across the street just being kids and he runs over to us taking pictures and says he's going to call the police. For what I had no idea. Police never came if he ever called. I have a good suspicion he killed one of our dogs. We had a dog named pepper and she was wild and jumped over our fence to we had to put her on a leash. I walked her often and one day walked past that guys house and he started screaming at me and told me next time he see's my dog he will shoot it. Well sometimes pepper chewed through the leash. She was not mean or anything and not that big just my dad was a derp and got a dog meant to be on a farm not our dinky yard. She got out a couple times and I always got her back. Or she would always come back. One time she got out never came back. Yeah proves nothing and just hearsay. She could have ran off for good or hit by a car or something. Just this guy also had some device not a dog whistle that hurt dogs ears. He just had this thing about killing/hurting dogs and yelling at kids. Thankfully Ralph died when I was a teen.

Big ass story just meaning to say many crazies and people like me who are scared of people see the world like this

When unexpected, I, too, get angry when someone knocks on the door. Most of the time it ends up talking to jehova's witness, jewish and other idiots bothering me with the most random crap. At some point I just stopped answering.

I have a different problem with B2B sales people. Mostly benefit coordinators. I take the non-violent approach of setting up a meeting and nagging them with endless questions. Of course, I will schedule these meetings on 'dead' days. I find this funny. Of course, I am also the person to put the new guy's stapler in Jello or fasten a bullhorn under a co-worker's chair.

I love the religious people though. They are perplexed when I question them about my (fictional) drug and sex addictions. I pretend we are on the Ali G show when they knock on my door.
