In a bizarre turn of events, the Vietnamese creator of the maddeningly difficult #1 Android and Apple AAPL +1.4% iOS game Flappy Bird is saying that he’s taking the game down within the next day.
Developer Dong Nguyen announced the decision on Twitter just a few hours ago:
“I am sorry ‘Flappy Bird’ users, 22 hours from now, I will take ‘Flappy Bird’ down. I cannot take this anymore.”

i doubt its nintendo. there is are games just like mario.
I bet its to get more downloads.
My girl has never heard of it but downloaded it today because see saw the news that it would be removed and wonder why and what the game was about.

They're insecure about gaming.
They're trying to compensate for the lack of gaming experience they get compared something so deep and unique as "Flappy Bird".

1. It's a ripoff of Helicopter
2. It has mario assets
3. The internet have been screaming for the last week or so about the games, making stupid memes and praying the game
4. The game itself is SOOOO BAD, it's just tap the screen to make a little jump and you need to get past the pipes, that's it! How is that a good game in any way?!?
Well, I've finally found my Starfox, and I love it.
