Guys, if you're going to get the game, just stay the course and get the Wii U version. It's not an essential purchase, it's not crack, and this isn't high school (though maybe you are in high school?). You're not going to die, go into withdrawal, or be less cool if you get the game later than other people.
If you're worried about online play, I'm sure you'll able to find people with the Wii U version online, even if you have to use a forum like this or NintendoLife to organize it.
True enough. Gunslingergaming does a fine job throwing events together as well. Most games seem to have an online population anyway so finding a game hasn't been much of an issue apart from AC3 and NG3 that suffered right out of the gates. Sure, there's some dead modes in the CoD games, but that's where communities like this one, NL or GS come in. Hell, even miiverse does an alright job with the whole "Heading into Blitz, follow on in!" posts. And if impatient, everygame seems to have a mode akin to TDM that's always populated.
I'm with ya on the wait for the U version. ...despite their whole rayman/watchdogs contradiction. Seems like ubi's pretty good at using that second screen so controls sound like they'll be the best on the U version.
