If this was a professional company they wouldn't have taken such obvious jabs at Ubisoft and EA. It's simply not professional. I'm calling either a fake, of a decent to bad indie game

It's very possible it's fake, but when right is right and wrong is wrong, and certainly these "publishers" are in the wrong with how they're treating Nintendo, the wii-u and consumers, SOMEBODY has to stand up and speak out against this level of unprofessional behavior.

Regardless if this is real or fake; they speak the truth.

Third-parties have been treating Wii U Gamers like the plague for quite some time now. It's getting annoying and insulting.

It is not professional per say, but it is great marketing. If I was making a game as an indie developer, my advertising budget would probably be my time away from making the game (I would presume these guys do not have much equity on the balance sheet).

So, this rant gets their name out there in a viral fashion, and we do the work for them.

Plus, if you had low overhead, a great game, and a viral campaign, you would have a very ripe market for a higher tier indie title, exclusively on Wii U.

I don't see what was wrong with what they said, it is actually refreshing to hear honest opinions instead of waffle.

They have every right to take pot shots at EA and Ubisoft who along with Activision are the three worst developers in my honest opinion.

EA have stated that the see Nintendo as a partner and yet they haven't released a game on the Wii U since NFS nearly a year ago.

Ubisoft say they're committed to the Wii U and yet they are doing everything possible imo to achieve low sales - delaying RL and releasing it months afterwards, gimping SC BL and now delaying WD until goodness knows when.

I actually think it's fantastic that smaller developers and individual developers are showing their support for the Wii U.

TT Fusion, Platinum Games, Slighty Mad Studios and now AE seem to be on board and I hope Nintendo gamers will support these developers.

I know I have supported Platinum Games and when I get around to it, I shall show my support for TT Fusion and the other developers who are releasing great games on the Wii U.

It's unprofessional because if they ever need to make a deal with EA, or Ubisoft in the future, or any big publisher for that fact, it will be seen as silly to partner with them.
It's like releasing metal gear 3 on 3ds, gimped while you release a hd bundle on the other consoles.

It can't support SD either ;)

Then again, the PS Vita is just slightly higher than SD (quarter HD) but that doesn't stop Sony having games with HD in the name on the system.

Well that's because it would be silly to partner with EA if you disapprove of them that much. Maybe not financially, but in every other sense.

Why else would a developer want a publishing partner?

Because you like what they publish, you like the way they handle themselves, you want a certain type of exposure they can provide, and things like that.

Yeah, because it's not like associating with EA makes it appear that they have enslaved your products and are whoring them out until they are no longer the  same.

How idealistic.

The reality is, "I have this great game, but I can;t really make a living to support my family with it."
"I'll try emailing some publishers to see if it's something they'd be interested in publishing to a mass market, you never know"
