I get how Nintendo tries to protect kids, and as such denies others to ask or share friendcodes on miiverse. Yet I think it should be up to the parents to lock their kids priveliges on the console-profiles.

But then Nintendo releases a Wiifit U title with a function called Wiifit Communities. (it is an ingame community, not only a miiverse community, but it does that as well).

They actually provide a code for the community when you set it up so you can share a gym and befriend fellow sportsmen. So I set up a community and posted the code on the miiverse WifitU community. My post got deleted and I received a message saying it was not permitted to share friendcodes, with no means to protest about it. I was pretty frustrated with it.

So, Now I posted a message, 'if anybody is in a nice busy gym, please let me know so I can join'. And without the post getting even a reaction, my post is deleted as well, with the message that asking for friendcodes is not permitted..

..I'm done with it. Don't the mods see the difference in friendcodes and community...? And why create such an ingame community and code if you can't share it?

Should the kids need to visit all kinds of shady forums to find a gymcode? Is that what Nintendo is after? As long as their own social platform isn't mis-used for game related communication. I was super happy with Miiverse but Nintendo is just trying to hard for people to keep liking it.

This happened to me before. I was trying to get some people to play Splinter Cell online with me and I posted: "Anyone who wants to play Splinter Cell co op online add me". It was removed within minutes. Posted again saying "Does anyone want to play Splinter Cell online?" and that was removed instantly.

I was furious, what is the point in having gaming communities where you cannot organise online matches? It's absurd.

Also I agree with you about Nintendo protecting kids. There should be OPTIONAL privacy features, both moderate and strict which should be implemented by parents. I'm all for the protection of kids on the internet but it shouldn't effect my enjoyment of playing video games online.

They suspended my account when I put my Youtube link in my profile. Then suspended me again for mentioning another console..a console that has been discontinued for 13 years in my profile. They did lift that after I appealed and my Dreamcast thing is still there but took a week to get lifted.

If I'm not wrong, there are all kinds of restrictment for children. I believe I turned some Miiverse options off for my kids.

Any, as seen in you guys reactions, Nintendo had a perfect plan with miiverse but are losing fans by the minute. What a shame!
