I get how Nintendo tries to protect kids, and as such denies others to ask or share friendcodes on miiverse. Yet I think it should be up to the parents to lock their kids priveliges on the console-profiles.
But then Nintendo releases a Wiifit U title with a function called Wiifit Communities. (it is an ingame community, not only a miiverse community, but it does that as well).
They actually provide a code for the community when you set it up so you can share a gym and befriend fellow sportsmen. So I set up a community and posted the code on the miiverse WifitU community. My post got deleted and I received a message saying it was not permitted to share friendcodes, with no means to protest about it. I was pretty frustrated with it.
So, Now I posted a message, 'if anybody is in a nice busy gym, please let me know so I can join'. And without the post getting even a reaction, my post is deleted as well, with the message that asking for friendcodes is not permitted..
..I'm done with it. Don't the mods see the difference in friendcodes and community...? And why create such an ingame community and code if you can't share it?
Should the kids need to visit all kinds of shady forums to find a gymcode? Is that what Nintendo is after? As long as their own social platform isn't mis-used for game related communication. I was super happy with Miiverse but Nintendo is just trying to hard for people to keep liking it.
