I've seen a trend of IGN bashing Nintendo with articles or interviews the last couple of days; but then dumping praise for Microsoft. What gives?

IGN doesn't review Nintendo properly.

They are probably like me and want Nintendo to break out from their shell, thus they give Nintendo crap scores to reflect that, despite it being the wrong place to do it.

Oh well, there is probably a lot more to it than that.

I thought IGN gave Nintendo great scores all the time? Sometimes overrate ones like Skyward.

Why do people still pay attention to so called pro gaming sites opinions? They been worthless for over 10 years. Most of them got the job because they applied not because they had knowledge of gaming.

This. "pro" gaming sites should be nothing more than entertainment. Go for user reviews if you really want to know about a game.

this, but with the addition that certain writers might still have some valid points for certain games. If you happen to find a writer that seems to follow your priorities and values, feel free! However, don't expect foxnews or cnn...oh wait ^^

IGN's reviews of Nintendo games are MOSTLY pretty fair.  It's their COVERAGE of Nintendo stuff that clearly takes a back seat.  You don't go to IGN for Nintendo news, and their boards are filled with Nintendo-bashers.

I'm kind of surprised you're just figuring this out, though, lol

When Matt left IGN he was the only guy I remember at the time being a genuine fan. Bozon and him worked well together.  When they left IGN's coverage of Nintendo went to the broom closet.
