I don't know if many of you folks know this, but we actually have a release window for Bayonetta. Something more specific than 2014.

 

 

In this trailer from the last Japanese direct at the end screen with all the logos it states this summer (Yes I can read the Japanese so this isn't just hearsay). While it won't be a simultaneous worldwide release, I've read the west won't have to wait too long. If I had to guess, I'd say it will be an October release to coincide with Halloween.

 

Also for those who are curious, the text inside the white boxes say it will be available both physical and digital.

Summer ends in September I think. Also not meant to sound mean but this was already covered right after the last Direct.

So summer can be holiday for us. This and X NEED to come out this year. MK8 should move units. Smash should keep them moving and then while people are picking up new systems will want new games so then we need Zelda Musou,X and Bayonetta 2. Keep a flow going.

Sonic boom? 2014 or 2015?

Forgot about Sonic boom. I am betting a fall release to go along with the show. I just don't think Sonic Boom is needed as much as Bayonetta 2 or X. We have a Sonic game. We don't have a M rated PG game that is action packed yet. No real RPGs yet.

Hyrule Warriors is Zelda Musou but I just called it by the Japanese Direct name.

The Wii U may end up having a solid game line up to end 2014 with if Smash, Bayonetta 2, Watch dogs and Project CARS releases. I'm looking forward to it.

Like I said, the video gives the Japanese release window of the summer, my guess after E3. As for the western release it all depends on how far along they are with the localization. The thing to note though is that W101 had a practically simultaneous release between Japan and Europe so obviously the localization had begun well in advance. This may more may not be the case with Bayonetta.
