 - A woman who threw a shoe at Hillary Clinton as the former U.S. secretary of state was delivering a speech in Las Vegas has been released from jail, and faces possible charges after her arrest for disorderly conduct, officials said on Friday.

Alison Michelle Ernst, 36, was released on her own recognizance just before midnight on Thursday, said Tess Driver, a spokeswoman for the Clark County District Attorney's Office. Ernst has not been formally charged but is scheduled to appear in court on June 24, Driver said.

Even though it is rather silly to think somebody is going to jail over this, I believe this would still fall under assault of a governing official, which is illegal...so yeah.

Well duh she goes to jail, it's assault. It doesn't matter if it would have killed her. She attacked her, end of story. She shouldn't have tried to be funny.

It would have bearly done damage to her, probably the worst what would have happened is a headache! This is something which should get a $100 fine. Not prison time! That's overkill if you ask me.

Yeah guys, there's a huge difference between throwing a shoe at someone and missing, and trying to shoot people and missing.

Don't worry Chrop you're not crazy. Americans have problems realizing that guns are not ordinary objects, and are meant to kill.

Like Chrop at most Mrs. Clinton would have had a headache. Oh no. It's not cool to throw a shoe, but there are a lot better ways to spend money than sending someone to jail over it. And people shouldn't be "made an example of" for throwing shoes at Hilary Clinton. She's a human just like everyone else.

Throwing a Bomb = an attempt of murder meaning the woman wanted to kill her

Throwing a Shoe = an attempt of harm meaning the woman was showing hatred

2 completely different things! I shouldn't go to jail for murder because I slapped someone in the face. 

America is a weird place indeed.
