You should give this show a chance.Who's your favorite pony? Personally, I think I prefer...
Actually, no, I still don't give a cake about MLP.

Why would you expect that?XD I remember the first two episodes didn't impress me much. "Okay, so they're right about it not being boring like most girl shows but I don't see anything epic about it..."I just got done watching the 1st 2 episodes out of curiosity of what all this commotion was about. Don't know why but I half expected someone to be brutally murdered at one point but it's A legit little girls show
I thought it was a bit too girly for me, but something made me watch the third episode. I guess a last chance for it...
I ended up watching the whole season. *twitch*
Edit: To clarify, I'm female but grew up on Power Rangers, Pokemon, Digimon, etc. I dislike overt catering to the stereotypical "little girl demographic". (Weak, giggling, plotless, romance obsessed characters)

If you watch Ep3 and still don't like it, I'll leave you alone, but try to get that far first...

are you serious? LOL its a little girl show. i think barney is a well made show too. Problem? lol
1. There are no gender stereotypes involved in this show. There is absolutely nothing that appeals to only girls, other than your preconceived notion that ponies are for girls; which there are no longer. It's only in your mind...
2. The show was designed for viewership by adults. The creators wanted to include content that would satisfy the parents of children that would watch it with them and make it enjoyable to watch. And thus, the teenage and young adults caught on, seeing that it isn't bad.
And by the way, if you really do think Barney is a well-made show, I don't care; that's only your opinion and I wouldn't try and stop you from watching it. I haven't watched Barney for over 10 years, I wouldn't know how its changed since then.
Which one(s)?ive actually seen an episode and its comedy for little girls

First episode actually, and i didnt enjoy it. also liking ponies is kindof strange in most people eyes and no offence to you guys, but generally bronies or MLP fans at older ages in real life are extremely annoying and try too hard to stand out .
i really dont get how the show is intended for anyone except the young girl demographic. please give me evidense and not just some clip from the show mentioning something for a different audience.
MLP is a young girls show

See my post above. Most people don't enjoy the first episode until they get past the initial awkwardness of watching ponies. We all though ponies were stupid and girly at one point...First episode actually, and i didnt enjoy it.

I'll say that I like the show, but I will take any part in the fandom. The fandom is pretty bad as a whole.

I am loving this thread. One guy is expressing his dislike of the show and saying it is a show for young girls while the bronies are defending it by saying the show is directed at something other than the target demographic (except the toys, all hasbro toys are directed at basement dwellers who waste < $50. $50 for a transformer who can turn into darth vader, is too complex for the age range on the box, and has a manuel the size of a book; that's a sign.).
I'll say that I like the show, but I will take any part in the fandom. The fandom is pretty bad as a whole.
i personally think the show IS for young girls and not intended for anyone else to watch but go ahead if you want to watch it. i just find it wierd. like if someone whached the bratz show and said it wasnt intended for young girls lol XD same thing
its awkward to watch it in general if your not in that demographics of "young girl" because its not intended and made for us to watch it.See my post above. i still and always will think ponies are stupid and girly

Recognize the difference between fact and opinion. It is opinion that you don't like the show, it is opinion that I like it. It is fact that it was designed for viewership of all ages and genders. Surely you don't think there would be some kind of rationale to 1,000,000+ men who watch this.1. There are no gender stereotypes involved in this show. There is absolutely nothing that appeals to only girls, other than your preconceived notion that ponies are for girls; which there are no longer. It's only in your mind...

As far as the Bratz show, based its wikipedia page, there seems to be several things wrong with it that contrast with My Little Pony. There is a huge gender stereotype that appeals to only girls, a very small set of characters, and a lack of diversity amongst these characters.
All it takes is a little research...
There was this other guy who raged on and on his hatred of ponies. No one though he would ever change, but guess what his channel looks like now? (He kept all of his anti-pony videos and comments, so you can see how he was a hater before)
And I also just realized there seems to be a similarity with people who think Nintendo is only for kids and Ponies are for kids... ponder that for a bit.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is for everyone too. It was made to be that way. And I know that the "Nintendo is only for kids" argument is stupid, that's why I mentioned it, to draw a comparison to the attitudes of people that hate ponies and people that hate Nintendo. They are very similar.nintendo is for everyone dont even make that Wiiin comparison thats absolutely stupid! im not ragin im just saying it like it is. u obviously have no clue what ur talking about . "You're dead if you aim only for kids. Adults are only kids grown up, anyway." -Walt Disney

All arguments aside, this is pretty funny for all you bronies who haven't seen it.
(BTW this video single-hoofed turned a guy from completely hating bronies to have much respect for them, at least.

It's fine you don't like ponies or the fanbase, but this is just pure bull. You're creating a specific judgment on how people should act and what they should like. We get it, the target demographic is young girls, but that doesn't give you any higher ground to judge other people. If you are too much of a fanboy to accept the nintendo stereotype, how about this one: You have a pink fairy in your avatar yet your profile says you are a boy. Because pink is a girl color, you are a weirdo for using a girly avatar.im sorry but u r a wierdo if u like ponys
It's this sort of behavior that makes you an ass because you go out and criticize people for what they like and how they should like things. Taken to its extreme, it leads to prejudice equal to that of any hate group.
I get criticized for liking chinese girl cartoons, but people are fine with it. But if I decide to watch MLP, I'm suddenly a pedophile because the MLP fandom's actions.
