Japan has the update too. The update is not early tho, they said it will be out by the 8th, not on the 8th.

The update was better than I was expecting. Though, I wasn't really expecting much since I was so focused on Mario Kart 7. It's gonna take me a while to collect all the new stuff. Some of those accomplishments could take me a lifetime.
Edit: I just noticed the nintendo zone icon. When I went to open it, it said I had to accept the latest user agreement. This is what went through my head: "Oh, a new user agreement? I should read this just to be safe." *presses read user agreement and sees large amount of text* "lol, I don't actually care. It's Nintendo, they wouldn't do anything bad to me. They love me." *presses I accept*
Then I realized that Nintendo Zone is useless unless you go to a participating store and doing so would be going out of my way. At least It has a nice icon to look at on the top screen.
