I share the same fear as tboss. I could see mervcedes being displeased if the stats on the car are anything but perfect... which is obviously a problem for balance.

Or better battle mode arenas.
Not that the other ones are bad, but I'll have to try them first. ATM they don't look as good as other battle arenas from earlier games.

I think there is zero chance of that happening. Nintendo obviously changed the design of the battle mode for a reason whether it was right or wrong. I don't see them going back on that decision and introducing the old style battle mode. Its wishful thinking more then anything else.

never say never. Remember that Nintendo has the option of offering proper battle stages in a DLC update, or even a cloverleaf-shaped stage that would work great for battle mode
