Just a small info, because I havent seen any news article about it..

The first day of MK8 release, wii U sold 187000 wii U's!!!!   Everybody speaks about japan and the 19k, but global sales, the first day of MK8, sold 187k wii U's

http://www.vgchartz.com/

So I suspect, wii U sales will increase even more the second and 3rd week, because of MK8.  Only the first day sold that much! 400% more than xbox one.

cool but like others have said I want to see sustained numbers. Not a big influx then back down to the weekly numbers we have been getting.

You have to browse the news section to see news about wii u.

Also, unless it's negative, it won't be anywhere else on the internet.

i'd imagine things will come back down to Earth, but hopefully the the average units per week is a bit higher. since this game is so popular, i'd also imagine that it sells by word of mouth and by experience. plus, i think a wii u sports bundle would sell well.

Mk 8 gave Wii U a huge push. And given the appeal of the series, how much praise it is getting i would be sadly suprised if it didn`t lift Wii U`s weekly sales.

The sales will increase rapidly with upcoming games inc. Hyrule warriors will sell out quickly pre-orders on this game are hot, it will be next system seller then Bayonetta 2 is not doing well at the moment, when the date comes closer it should improve then captain toad will be next big game and Toad character will be famous as Mario & Link this game will sell loads then Sonic Boom this game is love or hate and it's hard to say anything about this one at the moment, it's not in the charts for pre-orders, finally Super Smash Bros will be another system seller and it will sell a lot considering this will be game of the year and win Christmas no.1 the wiiu system will have powerful sales Just before Christmas 2014 and watch PS4/Xboxone struggling to beat this. (Release date rumoured is 21st November 2014.)

I don't know about NA, but in Europe the preorders for Bayonetta are average,in contrast to Hyrule Warriors, but pretty decent if you take into consideration that an official release date hasn't been announced yet.

Being that it's coming with Bay1 for free along with sexy Nintendo costumes it's definitely become attractive (...no pun intended).

My 2 cents -

Bayonetta and Hyrule, while sure to be solid releases are not system sellers. We've seen these titles before, neither franchise is new. They weren't system sellers then, why would they be now? We had Bayonetta 1 in 2010 and Hyrule is just a reskin of Dynasty Warriors and there have been a ton of those games over the years. We actually already have a Dynasty Warriors game on Wii U, Warriors Orochi Hyper and it sold like garbage. I don't think reskinning the characters into Link, Zelda, ect. is going to help sales that much.

My point is these games in the past have been solid releases but nobody went out and bought a console just so they could play Bayonetta 1 or Dynasty Warriors 3.

Does anyone outside of Nintendo fans even know about these 2 new games? Sure, some do. But not many. I certainly don't hear anyone talking about them outside of Nintendo message boards.

What sells systems is Nintendo's major 1st party releases - Mario 2D, Mario 3D, Smash Brothers, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, Mario Party. Everyone knows about these games. And perhaps they can expand that list in the future with a new concept that turns out to be a hit.

But Bayonetta/Hyrule are not new concepts. I'm happy with the sales, still narrowly beating Xbone. The mario kart bump seems to have given us some sort of sustained boost. Hopefully Smash Brothers will increase this even further.

Hyrule Warriors will certainly help in Japan's market.

You are probably right in that they won't individually sell many systems, if any really.  BUT, it will be nice to see these in the display cases at Walmart, Best Buy, Game Stop etc.  So, maybe collectively they will help the system, as will all the ones you mention.

I remember looking at the Wii U in late March 2013 and was disappointed in the game selection, but still got one almost on impulse not much later in April, just b/c I thought it was so cool.  There's a chance that if I didn't get the Wii U in April, I might have put it off much longer (and if the Wii U had more games in March, that I would have bought it sooner).

Well for Bayonetta, some big fans will buy Wii u for the game.

HW has a good chance hitting 1 million sold total lifetime. DW is massive in Japan and Zelda popular in the west. Combining the two and the massive push it's getting has a good chance.

Dynasty warriors is very popular games for starters and then there is the Zelda characters, which are legends in their own right and having both franchises in one game is going to be double the sales can lead to a system seller, both franchises are extremely popular and where I live it's no.1 pre-order game and is selling better than Mario Kart 8 here, it's good thing that MK8,Hyrule Warriors both are best games of 2014 for Wiiu, Hyrule Warriors might shift few more consoles and people who had the wiiu before and bought MK8 bundle are going to buy this game and if there are people who still don't own Wiiu console now the time to buy MK8 bundle with Hyrule Warriors plus remember Wiiu 2014 releases are coming soon inc. Bayonetta 2, Sonic Boom, Super Smash Bros.

Hyrule Warriors such a highly recommened game for the answer is Dw universe, Zelda characters and stages local Co- Op mode having own screen is best thing in Zelda game ever, above all Ganondorf is playable and DW/Zelda mixes so well this has to be the best action/adventure game for 2014.

Bayonetta 2 is an great game it only has one playable character likes of HW, Sonic Boom have other characters playable, it makes B2 a bit disappointing game, chances are B2 might be a average seller because one playable character and no local co-op mode makes the game really basic, just having hd graphics and new adventure doesn't mean it's a good game, B1 was just like this and they have kept the second one the same and for these reasons it will be average seller.

Note: Nowadays games have Playable character, Local Co-Op, online modes and Bayonetta 2 doesn't have any of this.
