Oh, I'm really confused. How do they make Mario and Sonic at the olympics?
Once upon a time, there were two major video game companies called Nintendo and Sega. These two companies were in a war to gain the most sales. In this battle, Nintendo had a super weapon known as Mario. In order to survive, Sega had to create it's own weapon which it called Sonic the Hedgehog. With these super great weapons, Nintendo and Sega fought to gain ground in the world of sales. Both companies were fighting hard and being successful. That is until some dark figures in the sidelines, known as Sony and Microsoft, sprang forth from the depths of the shadows and entered entered into the video game war. At this point, Nintendo and Sega's super weapons were put to the test. How did these companies respond to this new challenge? Well, Nintendo used it's super power of awesomeness and refused to give up the fight. However, Sega was unable to continue their current path. They determined that the only way they could continue to survive was to serve the other three companies. They started to lend their weapons to the major companies, but they could not muster the will to put as much effort into the upkeep of their weapons. Eventually, their main weapon, Sonic the Hedgehog, became nothing more than something a few rabid fans fought about and wished for it's return to glory. Seeing this, Sega, in a last attempt to make Sonic powerful again, went to Nintendo and began begging them to let them combine the power of Mario and Sonic into an ultimate super weapon. Nintendo said "Ya sure whatever" and proceeded to let Sega use Mario to create an Olympic game.
And that is the story of something (I'm not really sure what) according to the warped history found in the Squishipeadia.
On the original topic:
I'm not all that interested in more sport games unless they contain lots of content, so I'm not really sure if lots of games in one is better than one really fleshed out game. As for more characters, I suppose more could be ok, but they might seem a bit out of place in a genre normally dominated by Mario characters.
