That's pretty lame. Glad I went and bought a PS3 instead of a PS4 (for now).

why in God's name would you link that 'thing'? Don't encourage him.

On topic: Sony still believes that their name alone gives them the right to charge a premium for their products. Unfortunately, the rest of the world has more than caught up and has lower prices. Sony needs to make a good product, sell it for a competitive price and stop assuming that people still gaf that they're Sony.

boggie2988 is actually an A+ youtuber with some great content. He's more than just ranting videos with his "Francis" character.

But onto the topic, I agree the prices are high. More than I'd pay. This is how I feel about it, and I hope nobody who buys digital is insulted but this is my honest opinion.

Sony, like every other company who is charging the same price for digital as physical copies seems to be betting on consumer laziness. They think people will pay for the privilege of getting the game now, without leaving their house, and without having to constantly swap discs out of their console's disc drive and without having to go through the hassle of reselling the game when they're done with it. They think to many customers that is worth the approximately 75% higher price you pay by going digital (because you can't resell it). And with rental, you lose even more than that because you can't even keep the digital game forever for yourself.

And thus far, considering digital prices have held firm they may be right. I can't say they're wrong. Bottom line if people are upset about the pricing they need to voice their opinions with their wallets. That's the only way the prices are going down. But if the market is willing to pay those outrageous digital prices then they will sell the product at that price.
