Was going through some of my gift cards, planning ahead for some games, and i just realized that smash bros 3ds is only 1 week from hyrule warriors. Does anyone other than me feel like this will affect hyrule warriors in a bad way? the more i think about it, I most likely wont be spending $60 on that when i know smash bros is going to occupy pretty much all of october.

It might, if people only have enough to buy one game then it's more than likely they will choose Smash. I know I would. Then again I'm not a fan of those hack n slash types.

Nah.

I don't even plan to get Smash on 3DS. Fighitng games on Handhelds are never ideal on a small screen IMO. So going straight in for HW. So Agree with Sorce.

That's a good question, I for one will be buying both at launch. But I can see people flocking to smash bros when it drops. Well have to wait and see

Yeah I think the main save here is the different consoles. Hopefully that'll be enough to not affect sales too badly.

It's a very odd release schedule for nintendo. I can't think back to any time they ever released 2 1st party games a week from apart. Its not that i don't want hyrule warriors, i love hack n slash, but cmon...is SMASH bros!

I'm thinking of buying it because I want a good fighting game on my handheld so I can take it with me on trips ;)

I don't think it'll have that hugr of an impact. The ones getting SSB for 3Ds for the most part won't have a WiiU so it would not really stand in the way of HW sales. Only for the ones who have both and are thinking off getting both the SSB versions which can't be that many.

Everything can change, but I'm never changing who I am

I am, though honestly having played the wii-u version at best buy, i know I'm not going to be blown away, but still it will be my most played game on 3ds till ruby and sapphire release in november.

It will probably have some impact. I agree very wierd release schedule. But overall i don't think it will make that big of a difference. Nintendo probably thinks it's better to get the game out ASAP than delay it just for the sake of spacing out their releases.

I don't undervalue the game, but I'm going to play ssb4 mostly on wii u because I like it better there. But when my flight is 13 hours( excluding the waiting hours) I want to play sth good and I can't think a better fighting game than ssb4 :)

Might pick it up at some point, but I'd take Hyrule Warriors and then wait for it on the Wii U.  If I think it's worth while to double dip, then I will
