What defines better graphics? Computer power, graphics engines can only do so much. You need skilled and talented people to help design the graphics you speak of and you need these same type of highly skilled people to build the graphics engine.

Question is very subjective and open ended. So that makes it a no.

Yes and no.
Different graphics come from using better tools or understanding your tools better.

Think of a ice sculpture. One that works with a chain saw and one that uses a chisel.
They both can make the same thing. Both same details and everything.
Now have them switch tools and they would probably turn out crap. Not because the tools they use are bad but because they don't understand how to use them fully.

Same with games. New engines don't always mean better graphic. Some time they make it easier to work with , other times there to new and people don't understand them and turn out crap.

Nope it all comes down to the talent of the person using the engine or development group. Cryengine 3 is suppose to be a pretty good engine. Now take a look at Sonic boom on WiiU which uses that engine. Take a look at crysis 3 which also uses that engine. Different teams can get different results on different hardware. Hardware plays a big part into it also and the developers knowledge of that hardware.

That would be comparing feature sets, which actually invalidates your premise, as they are no longer using the 'same everything'.

Another important factor is technical support from the engine makers... which i dont think crytek is in much shape to provide at present.

So from your point of view do you think developers can create much better graphics on Wii U than they are doing now

Obviously but who has the passion and love for the console (from a 3rd party perspective) to put the money and backing into making this a reality. Only games that will be funded by Nintendo like bayo2. Other that we will continue to get what we are getting. If we get a game it will be a 360 port at best.

Yes... but this has absolutely nothing to do with game engines. (Well it has something to do with it, but it all comes down to the developers skills at making games on Wii U)

We had a thread like this before.

Google playstation 2 first year games. The Google the same game towards it's end of life.

I remember using msg before.
The longer a developer has withwith system and tools the better they can do.
