While GoldenEye 007 (Wii) was good. It was no doubt so much like Call of Duty.
They use to have such great games from 007. GoldenEye N64, The World Is Not Enough, GoldenEye: Rogue Agent

But James Bond isn't about a shooting game where you kill mass amounts of people. What happened to the emphasis on sneaking around and doing missions by not alerting enemies and doing tasks.
Those were my favorite missions.

I heard there are rumors of the series coming back after being bought out by another company. Which is good.
But hopefully this time around the games won't be getting negative reviews.

Do original stories in the games but base them on the films without relying too much on it.
Make the controls easier. (Climbing ladders in GoldenEye Wii was so slow and cringeworthy.)
Other than that I like the series.
Multiplayer is always fun.
Any other opinions on the series?

They have always been more about shooting bad guys than sneaking and being a spy really. The older games had elements of spying (like the little award you got in Nightfire for going along a secret route and sneaking past guys) but somewhere along the way they just became call of duty clones.

So yes, they could do with a reboot. Who even owns the rights these days?

Activision publishes, not quite sure who makes it nowadays, but it's the same group that brought us both the (in my opinion) great Goldeneye reboot and the abysmal 007 Legends.

Make a James bond NOT a FPS but a stealth and spy game. Something far more tactical.

I just subbed to GEN2GEN .

Activision no longer holds the rights to 007 so don't expect anything James Bondish for a few years I'd bet.
