Danièle Watts, an African-American actress who played Coco in Django Unchained and appears as Martin Lawrence's daughter on FX's Partners, says she was handcuffed and detained on Thursday by police in Los Angeles who suspected she was a prostitute.

According to Watts, she was approached by two police officers after kissing her husband Brian James Lucas, who is white, in public. Watts was reportedly asked to show ID and, when she refused, she was handcuffed and placed in the back of a police car. They let her go after finding out who she was.

I don't see the wrong here, it was a common mistake.

It's wrong because they took her down just because they thought she was a prostitute.
Basically they had no proof.
That's like taking you to jail because they think your drunk, when you never have anything the whole day

Didn't know cops were allowed to arrest based on their feelings.

Should be fired.

She didn't have to show ID either. It's not the law.

She did nothing wrong.

But the cops did.

Unless...

The "making out" consisted of something much more...

That could cause a citizen to call.

But the cops would have no proof.

So still unable to arrest.

Common Mistake? Are you joking here? They arrested her for doing ABSOLUTLY NOTHING. They had no evidence, proof or anything, They just walked up to her and arrested her for pretty much doing what a normal human being does.

Only in America Folks.
