Still putting more faith in Xenoblade X but enticed now. Nomura is off the project as well as Tabata has stepped in his place. This obviously has a much bigger budget and strong hardware to work on. Still for those moaning about XBX ground textures. XV looks on par. Character and Enemies in XV look better but XBX has Mechs

 

Personally I think XBX has better art design esp in enemies. Still I am little cautious to a FF game anymore but with Nomura gone and XB ish I may give this a chance.

I thought Final Fantasy was that turned based RPG game or something, lol I'm a noob to some series. But yeah this seems heavily Xenoblase / Monster Hunter based.

Looks really... Empty, especially compared to X. Just plains everywhere. And a highway, with a single car on it full of beleibers.

 

Occasionally it passes a cool looking monster, probably just the drugs they are clearly on. Occasionally they get bored of driving on a straight never ending highway with nothing on it and get out and wander around in empty feilds with nothing to look at, where they are attacked by hordes of cool looking imps or something... Also probably just the drugs. They are just in the feilds by themselves spasming on the ground.

 

 

It basically looks like the previous gow clone disappeared for a year or two, kicked nomura to the curb to go bother kh, and attempted to staple ideas from X all over itself as a fix.

 

It kinda works, except for the fact throughout 95% of the environments there is nothing you see anywhere that makes you go, 'ooh, lets go explore that'.

 

Yeah, watching it again it definately looks like theyve been duct taping random peices of xenoblade onto an otherwise completely empty coutryside.

What gets me is how we have 4 generic Nomura sausage fest men in a road trip dressed like they are heading The Blue Oyster Gay bar in Police Academy. I do like the fact we have a game more comparable to XBX but said it before putting far more faith into XBX for quality.

It looks good, but if people were complaining about X's graphics then they should complain about this game's graphics as it only looks slightly better on much more powerful hardware.

I think it looks pretty great, having seen the new trailer I'm really excited for it, though this is coming from someone who enjoys ff13 so maybe you shouldn't listen to me. 

The battle system doesn't seem too similar to xenoblades imo, this doesn't look as mmo like to me.

Also is it bad that I don't mind the character designs at all? I think they look fine.

No one said the combat was similar. Xenoblade is real time ATB. XV is just Action.

It's the huge feilds and big monsters and other factors that make it look like a XB impression but XBX still will do a better job. In fact while XV will sell better and hype may get it false 10/10's XBX is likely tyo be a better game. Tho I like they are more comparable and if the game is half decent I'd be willing to give the game a shot. Used but still a shot. FF name has been truly awful games last several years. (not tried Type o yet tho)

FFXV .... hmm. for those complaining about the "look" of X's character models... at least they appear interesting and unique.

 

Not sure how the boy band in FFXV is going to play out, lol. Graphics look pretty nice but as others said it looks to be taking things from X but falls flat. The world shown thus far doesn't seem majestic or interesting.. not yet.

 

Not to say this isn't going to change, but it would be nice to see something unique here.

I like the visual of the game and the characters look fine but it does looks empty as @3Dude pointed out. Also I don't like the "bro" group going on, it's very boring, makes the character seem 1-dimensional. Again this is just from the few times we've seen it.

They seem like two different games to me. I don't see the point in comparing them. Both are probably going to be great anyway. On the subject of Final Fantasy XV, this is probably the most i've been excited about a Final Fantasy game in a very long time. It's an interesting concept, a fantasy world based on reality. The characters move so smoothly in combat and the graphics are pretty gorgeous.  I think it's going to be pretty cool. Xenoblade X looks pretty cool too (even though I don't have a Wii U).
