I couldn't find a similar topic (it also doesnt help the search function doesn't work) so if this is a duplicate, I apologize before hand and please direct me to the thread.

Anyways, I just wanted to show my gaming PC along with myself up because I always think its kind of cool to see what others have made and what they've put together.

 

PC/specs

i7 4771 clocked at 3.9GHz

16gb ddr3 1600

2x r9 280x sapphire vapor-x crossfired

2tb with the os and a bunch of other junkl on it (I want an ssd, but I can live with my boot time)

2tb to hold all my steam games

3tb to put all my recordings on

if you want to know anything else I guess jsut let me know

before you ask, god damn it gabe is an inside joke with the pixelmon team (google pixelmon if you dont know what it is) They wanted to see how I had my pc set up so when I took a picture a few months ago I put god damn it gabe on my monitors

Right now I'm in a hotel on my phone, so I'll edit this post with purdy pictures later this afternoon.

My computerbox currently has:
An i5 4670k overclocked to 4.4 GHz
Cooled with a Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO, the stock fan replaced with a Noctua NF-F12.
8GB DDR3 1600. Can't go wrong with Crucial Ballistix Sport RAM.
Rockin' that XFX R9 270 (It was the cheapest 270 and it came with a free copy if Battlefield 4.)
A 120GB Kingston SSDNow V3 (Sandforce controller is meh.)
A 1TB OEM Hitachi 2.5" HDD that I salvaged from an old laptop.
Corsair CX500 PSU
All of this sitting on an ASRock Z87 Pro 3 ATX motherboard.
And all of this sitting in a white-flavored Bitfenix Comrade case.

Kinda a odd setup to take a pic of.I use my Laptop like a desktop next to my recliner. It's not a rig or anything.

 

 

Specs nothing that will wow anyone but does what I need it to and is a pretty solid PC for me.

You couldn't have taken some ram from the previous rig before you sold it? Just askin cos you had more before you had your dads.

I kind of doubt it. Computers with 16gb RAM sell pretty well, and I doubt you need more than 8GB at this point. I'm running with 4GB and a dedicated graphics card, and it plays the latest games. But I digress.

from experience, you only really need 8gb to do anything. I have 16gb as a "just in case" sort of thing, I dont think I ahve ever seen my pc use more then 8gb, even when I multitask
