I just played to demo and I couldn't believe my eyes. It looks amazing! Pre-rendered and in engine scenes blend seamlessly, and it actually feels funny going from pre-rendered at 30 FPS to in engine at 60 FPS, the action is really smooth and fast paced and graphics look sharp enough. I know this game runs at 720p but I swear, if it ran at 1080 it would be impossible to tell the difference, I mean, who the hell would be able to notice lack of definition or "jaggies" while everything is happening so fast around you? You would need to not be playing.
Anyway, I'm so happy I pre ordered and I can't wait to play the whole thing.

Platinum Games as a general rule don't do pre-rendered. They develop budget games and even if they wanted pre rendered could not afford it. Also I feel we have systems powerful enough it's no longer needed. Even last gen was not needed.

And thats Okay. Disagreeing with it is OK too. Not every single site has to be in exact agreement, and not everyone has to agree with every review.
Id be much more miffed if they had bumped it down to 7.5 because they couldnt comprehend how to play and erroneously blamed it on the game *COUGH* Wonderful 101 *COUGH* Than someone doing it for a reason they can actually justify, as its soley their opinion on the subject matter, and not about facts.
Its the very reason we have so many game reviewers.
I seriously think metacritic has got to go. It is a cancer.
