Apologies if this has already been answered (I did look) or is obvious.. I've just got my Wii U & am still learning, I'm thinking of getting a HDD (2TB max?) can I transfer my three disk games/any others I might buy & all the Eshop games I currently have onto the drive & launch them that way?

Do games lauch quicker/slower from HDD, can people tell me which drives are compatible atm?

Thanks.

I believe games run about the same... that's what I've heard. Which is kind of unusual considering hard drives run quicker.

I've heard that it varies from game to game, but the loading times for Lego City Undercover were about 2/3 of that with a disc. That was shortly after the console's release, though, so none of those speeding-up updates were out yet.

Here's another comparison, Mario Kart 8 (with all the speeding-up updates).

As for original post, no, there is no way to install the disc game onto the hard drive without buying and downloading it from the eShop.

That's a real shame, probably won't bother with a HDD in that case as I'll most probably be picking up more disk games than digital simply because I can get them cheaper.. C'est la vie

Anyone know if Nintendo will enable the option to transfer all your disk games/Eshop content in a future update?

I doubt it but it's possible.

Yeah it's not really something you see people asking for. Nintendo ha things that people want more they can direct their resources to.
