Since YouTube was updated and now allows for 60fps, here is a great look at SMASH for Wii U. You can see how fluid and smooth it is. Click gear icon and select 720p 60 fps. not sure if the video was not uploaded to 1080p or youtube only allows 60fps for 720.. either way have a look.

But it's obvious that the human eye cannot perceive anything faster than 30 fps.

Yes and no.

My TV has something called smooth frames. Basically it makes up the in between frames and outputs from 23fps to 60fps. You can tell the difference when watching old cartoons.

I play games in 30fps and 60fps you'll see the difference.

I thought the Kappa was a dead giveaway.

 

I play CS:GO at 120 fps, so I know a thing or two about frame rate perception.

Didnt load on my phone. And some people really cant tell the difference.
