D1, who would know, is dropping hints about a game that will be available "for people to try out" at APEX 2015 next month. Nintendo is sponsoring the event. Judging from the reaction from his fellow caster, it's something they're not supposed to talk about. There's a lot of speculation right now that the title will be Splatoon, but Pokken Tournament is also possible.

The organizers have also been teasing something big about the partnership with Nintendo.

Hmmm you wouldn't be dropping hints at a game being playable and saying splatoon since that's been playable to some since e3. I'd rule that out.

Apparently in a post-stream interview, Hbox asked D1 what he was talking about. D1 handed a note to Hbox, and at some point, asked Hbox Hbox asked D1 if he liked fried squid.

 

I still haven't found the source video, but a couple people have said this, and it seems to hint at Splatoon being the mystery game...

Yeah I just read that a bit ago. If it is splatoon that's cool and a just another way to build up the hype. Splatoon seems competitive enough

Edited my original post... I had said that D1 asked Hbox if he liked fried squid, but actually, Hbox asked D1. So it's a little less likely than I thought...
