Warning: Mild Language

Downloadable content can be a great thing, when done right. Most "AAA" publishers don't do it right. Hyrule Warriors, on the other hand, shows exactly how you can support a game in a way that respects audience investment, enhances the gameplay experience, AND makes the publisher money.

It's a shame Nintendo is so rubbish at YouTube, because it's been nailing stuff like this lately.

You are going to invest hours and hours in the game... make sure you have time for it lol. Although it is one you can just pick up and play a mission or two.

Nintendo is definitely getting DLC right. God knows why they took so long to jump on the bandwagon. The Mario Kart 8 DLC is some of the best I've ever bought.

I disagree, Hyrule Warriors does DLC terribly, in my opinion but Mario Kart 8 does it right.

Just my opinion.

There is enough DLC in Hyrule Warriors to make Hyrule Warriors 2. So we do NOT need another Hyrule Warrior game.

Now they should make Fire Emblem Warriors. There is 100x the amount of content from that series for a Warrior game.

And Fire emblem Awakening

My only problem with Fire Emblem's DLC was the reusing of the same maps 3 times. Except for that, it was a great addition. And a necessary one for Lunatic mode.

I have to strongly disagree with Son edo. Hyrule Warriors was a great example of additional payable content that enhanced the games experience while adding to it while also not forcing it on you as it ultimately felt more like a preference thing vs cod games where your more so forced to buy the dlc to keep up with everyone else. Mario kart 8 does it the best. Pikmin 3 is the only game where I felt they purposely left content out just to create dlc fortunately it was cheap enough where I wouldn't fault them completely. Should  super smash bros wii u copy the same formula Mario kart 8 had for dlc( not including the mewtwo thing)?

I've been happy with how Nintendo has handled this.  I would have paid $10, maybe even $15 (tho I would have felt it pricey here) for the first set of tracks.  At $11.99 or whatever it was for both, it was a no brainer.

I liked Steel Diver too.  You get a basic game that you can play with a friend for free, plus a few missions, then for $10, you get like 6 more missions.  I also got a lot of our Rusty's Baseball.  I thought Mario Golf World Tour was also very reasonably priced. Haven't gotten Pikmin's DLC yet.
