Information:

As of April 7, 2015, a new software update has been made available for the Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. game. We recommend that all Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. players download and install this update.

Update Details:
  • Added a functionality to fast-forward the enemy's turn.
Notes:
  • You can still use previous save data after downloading this update.
  • Update data will be saved on the SD Card that is inserted into the system.
    • If there is not enough space on the SD Card, the update will not be completed.
    • In order to check available space, select “System Settings” from the Home Menu and then select “Data Management.”
  • After downloading the update, please do not delete the update data. Update data can be viewed in the “Downloadable Content” area of the Data Management menu.
What to Do:
  1. Perform a system update to ensure you have the most up-to-date version. How to
    • For information about connecting your system to the internet, click here.
  2. Start the Nintendo eShop and search for "Code Name: S.T.E.A.M."" and tap the item for Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. Update Ver. 1.1.0
    • For steps on how to download the software update from the HOME Menu, click here.
  3. On the Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. Update Ver. 1.1.0 page, select "Tap Here to Download" and follow the on-screen directions.
    • Once the download is complete, the update will automatically be applied.
    • The update data will be saved on the SD Card inserted in your Nintendo 3DS system.
  4. Start Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. and check that it has been updated correctly. If the version number shown is Ver. 1.1.0, the update has been successful.

I don't get how that takes advantage of the new 3DS...

 

Faster cpu speed in n3ds so it can speed up and compute enemies turn even a bit quicker then on normal 3ds. It's a great update to the game, really the only complaint some people had was having to wait for the enemy's turn.
