So, Mario has covered almost every sport, from baseball to racing to soccer, etc. Should Mario do a hockey game next?

Would be interesting. Hockey is already fast paced, I would be curious as to how gameplay, mechanics would be done. There is a small hockey game in the Sochi Olympics but nothing like a full blown title would be able to do.

or give us a version of Ice Hockey

Seeing how the Wii U cant even get a third party sports title I think they should make a sports game for evey league. Hockey, basketball, soccer, etc. They should not just make them with fun gameplay in mind though they should make the gameplay as close to the actual sport as possible. Basically! A good simulation just with Nintendo characters. I mean what sports option do you have if you own a Wii U?

Mario Sports Mix had hockey, can't say it was the best but it had it and it was kinda fun.

No they just never done American Football. Retro almost made a NFL game and a Mario Football but never gout out of planning stages. Mario done hockey plenty. Nintendo for sports sims should do what they did in the N64 and GCN days and get a small team to make sports sims for them. Left Field did the Kobe Bryant games. They had Ken Griffey Jr and such. SEGA founded Visual Concepts and did the 2k series before selling them off since EA denied them.

So down with everything you said. I had a remembered well the kobe/ken griffy games. They have to see their consoles are lacking sports games and I hope they see EA and others that make sports titles could care less. They have to step up and make these games for their console owners.
