This trio of retro-inspired plush toys, made by Jakks Pacific and for the World of Nintendo line of toys recreate Mario, Luigi and Link in their iconic 8-Bit NES appearances - only softer!

Nintendo has, in the past, offered the plush 8-Bit Mario as a reward through its Club Nintendo catalogue, so it's nice to see these become available without the need to save a mass of stars/coins.

The set are scheduled for a July release and will set you back around $54.99 for the bundle; they are available to pre-order from a number of online outlets such as Entertainment Earth and Big Bad Toy Store. They are also available to order separately (should you have a favourite) over on Toy Wiz, although they strangely vary in price - with Link costing a full $10 more than Mario.

There is no word on a release outside of the US as of yet, but as with the rest of the World of Nintendo line it's likely we'll see them hitting many regions.

$55 is for all three, but the only one that's a decent price by itself is the Luigi one.
