Today Koei Tecmo released their financial report for the year of 2014, revealing that their partnership title with Nintendo, Hyrule Warriors, has sold more than 1 million units since it was released. Koei Tecmo is extremely pleased with the sales of the series and the financial report reveals that the DLC packs available for the game have been selling at a good pace.

Perhaps the biggest news from the financial report is that Koei Tecmo plans on revealing two new IPs, as well as another major collaboration this year. There’s no telling who the partner is for this collaboration, but given their history with Nintendo and their willingness to follow style guidelines set by Nintendo, it’s possible we could be seeing another cross-over game. It’s to early to tell at this point, as the financial statement says that the collaboration may not be announced until 2016.

Great to see the game doing that well.

The collaboration is probably with Nintendo. Or at least one of those two titles is for Nintendo.

couldnt get into HW but very glad to see it sold well. Maybe if they make another game they can take more advantage of the hardware and it can be an even better offering

Never expect any Warriors games visuals to set the world on fire. HW is however the best looking Warriors game there is and the best to play not saying because of zelda but everything is just more polished and the addition of things like bombs and arrows and light puzzles is great.

Yeah I know the series does not rely on it visuals but I am hoping if they make another game on Wii U it would take better advantage of the hardware. USE THAT EDRAM! anyway again glad it sold well hopefully more third party games (not with nintendo characters involved) can achieve these type sales on Wii U.

Fire Emblem Warriors son. FE universe is 10x that of Zelda so the DLC could go on for a long time and the game would be massive. FEW needs to happen.

Metroid Warriors confirmed

Crimson Sea is a Third Person Shooter warriors game on Xbox and PS2 so Metroid Warriors is not as out there as you may think.

Is Fire Emblem one universe? I've only played 2 games and they seemed to be completely disconnected.

maaaaaaaaaannnnnnnn I would buy either one of those games. so many characters for FE, and yes I'd happily buy any DLC for these games.

Perhaps for metroid the prime hunters could make a return.

btw vote spire for smash dlc

Yes and no.

That up for debate since awakening.Originally only 2 games were connected at a time
1,2 and 3 (Which is technically a remake with an extra story of 1) 4,5,6,7,9 and 10.They might be in the same world but different continents at different times. Two games might be about the same era and characters but never really more then two.

That said it does not matter really. HW is not Zelda cannon. Also they could always do a Warriors Orochi type of game. In fact that would work perfect.

Many of those games sold at full retail too.  It only recently came down to $48 on Amazon.  Throw in DLC and this game probably netted $60m-$70m.
