There's 9.5 million Wii U owners and only 24 million in software sales.  That's 2.5 per Wii U owner. Considering that the system comes with one, sometimes two games, these are pretty abysmal numbers.  Throw in that I have 50 retail titles- I'd imagine that most people who post here have at least ten.  Of the 9.5 million Wii U owners, it seems that 8.5 million only have the game that it came with and one other title.

2. New Super Mario Bros. U -- 4.81 million
3. Nintendo Land -- 4.68 million
4. Super Mario 3D World -- 4.10 million
5. Super Smash Bros. Wii U -- 3.65 million
6. New Super Luigi U -- 2.25 million
7. Wii Party U -- 1.55 million
8. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD -- 1.52 million

Maybe the number they quoted was only first party? Those numbers, by eyeballing it, look like they add up to 24 million. I would think that third party would add up to at least a million or two

These sales are only for the US though, not the rest of the world like Japan, Europe, and Australia.

Really impressed with Luigi U's sales. We need more Luigi games.

Those software numbers are US only. Worldwide I think it's 50+ million whitch is really good. Nintendo systems always do.
