From http://nintendoenthu...cters-in-smash/

In a recent interview with Xenoblade Chronicles X director Tetsuya Takahashi, the executive revealed that Monolith Soft is already working on its next game, even though XCX has yet to release in North America.

Moreover, Takahashi also answered a question about have characters from XCX in Super Smash Bros. To that question, Mr. Takahashi simply said to “ask Sakurai” about their inclusion.

I’m not entirely sure, but you could always ask Mr. Sakurai about that.

December seems so far away for X. Interested to see what they do next, couple of years away until we learn anymore I am sure.

Seems to take them a good 3-4 years on these types of games so hopefully they'll just continue the series.

Yeah I was disappointed... a HD neg game would be cool with the effects they could do and the engine they have.

Don't expect it on Wii U if a console game. Xenoblade Chronicles X took 5 years to make. Xenoblade released in 2010 is when they began planning XCX and shown 2 years before released.

1) The next Xenoblade
2) A new Disater game (highly unlinkey, but could end up being a great unique franchise, especially for Nintendo.
3) Whatever that old promo tease was for.

Think that was just strictly just a recruitment ad.

Still hope something comes of it.

Anyway I'll always be holding onto false hope for Baten Kaitos III.

I hope they grow in staff so we don't see only see one title from them per gen.

A new IP would be great.

They do have 2 studios. The other one people are mostly unaware of but they been helping with Mario Kart and Zelda and such. I agree tho Studio A to get bigger to do a couple games would be awesome.

Pretty sure that's promo art for a 3DS game iirc. If they're still working on that, I'm guessing it'll be the 3DS's swan song. The new game will release 2-3 years into the NX's life. Decent idea.

Some people always have a cellphone on them. I'm so awesome I always have a 3DS.

Monolith Talks About Working with Nintendo; Helped with Splatoon

http://nintendoenthu...-with-splatoon/

There’s both kind of work that we do. Whenever we’re working on one of our own titles like Xenoblade Chronicles X, we’ll have weekly development meetings with Nintendo where we discuss our progress with the game. Whenever we’re not busy with our own projects, we have the opportunity to help out with some of the projects that are being developed at Nintendo. A recent example of this is Splatoon.

I wanna know just how profitable they are. It seems a bit worrying.

They made one of the biggest games of last gen and it sold under a million copies. They're making one of the biggest games so far of this gen and it probably won't sell much more than that (I'm guessing it'll sell about 1 mil)

Are they really efficient with their budgets or are Nintendo just covering them for the sake of having these big exciting projects?

Monolith IS Nintendo. As much as EAD. XC did not need to sell more than it did to be profitable.  Since Monolith is 1st party Nintendo will be smart with cash as always. Studio B in Kyoto doesMario Kart Zelda and other stuff like that they assist with. Like Retro and EAD and Intelligent Systems they ARE Nintendo.

You're right: the Tokyo and Kyoto studios.

Yeah, one of those needs to grow to handle two big titles at once.

Did they post the budget somewhere then? I had no idea how much they'd needed to sell to be profitable.

I would not worry. If it flopped we would not be getting another Xenoblade. It's XCX that needs to sell well as it's a big budget game for Nintendo and Monoliths first HD game.
