If we're talking based on # of games, the Xbox360. If we're talking experiences I'll never forget, GameCube.

My favorite handheld has to be the gameboy advance SP, nothing beat those times that you actually had to meet your friends just to play the same game together with the link cable. My favorite gaming system is without question, the gamecube because nothing beats having to invite your friends over for some raging, laughing, and cheering while playing 4 player super smash bros melee.

1.gamecube, in that big boat too.
2.xbox360
3. N64
4.wii

gamecube had good games, and was great for its time. many of them also had replay value well beyond that of xbox games.
xbox had good games but ended upmostly repeat FPS games, worthy of 1 play through.
N64 was great when i was little.
wii was backwards compatable but lacked good games. surved as a median from gamecube and 360. 1st party was mostly a step down for me.

wiiU is undetermined. will wait to see if it gets 3rd party support and better 1st party than wii.

I think my favorite console would be the Gamecube because I pretty much grew up with that and my second would be my PS3

Several of my favorite game franchises got their start on the NES, and some of them persist to this day with good and sometimes lackluster installments. But it was during the days of SNES that everything really seemed to shine. Maybe the transition to 16-bit left less to the imagination because of the improved graphics and sound, and all of the technological enhancements that would come with later consoles just didn't impress in the same way. Eight-bit music is somehow charming and provides its own kind of excitement, but there's just something about 16-bit music that I find entrancing. That was also the point when video game music started to become recognized as "real music" by many people.

Two of my favorite series, Final Fantasy and Castlevania, had what is in my opinion their best installments on the SNES. Castlevania IV's control scheme is the best of them all, even to this day. Final Fantasy VI is my favorite in that series in pretty much every category: graphics, music, plot, and gameplay. The Genesis had a fantastic library of its own, but the SNES is king of what I feel was the greatest era of the industry. Super Mario All-Stars and Super Mario All-Stars/Super Mario World is also the first multicart I ever played that didn't suck

I think my 3DS may have recently usurped the title of favorite handheld from my GBA.

THE BEST GAME SYSTEM EVER!↓

I loved the Gameboy Advance, all the games from all the other Gameboys on one games console and it had two of my favourite games, Warioware: twisted and Mario Kart. I remember when I was little and we used to go to our cousins house and all hoo our Gameboys up then play a few rounds of Mario Kart. Ah, those were the days!
