Ninja Gaiden NES.
HARDEST GAME EVER.

Easiest?
Super PSTW Action RPG.
Even though it's hands-down, Game of Year, All Years, with it's intricate storyline, unique character development, and skillfully performed voice-overs, I can't get over the difficulty, or almost, lack thereof.

Easiest:BTTF: the game(PC version)

Hardest:Rugrats:Search for Reptar. The Physics in that game are pretty much awful and it's hard to play.

Easiest:Definitely Shrek 2.

Easiest: Fate/Stay Night... But to be fair, it IS a Visual Novel (Which IS actually a game genre >.<)

Touhou is one of the hardest games I've ever played. It's basically a "bullet hell" game. Even the bullets shoot out bullets. It takes careful memorization and Concentration to beat this game

I still don't get how to play this game, let alone be good at it

There's also a game that has a bunch of planes that shoot at you, kind of like Galaga on steroids on steroids. There's basically no way to beat the game without losing at least a million times! I'll try find a video of it.

Hardest: A bug's life (Game boy)

Hardest: Don't laugh, newbs. Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time. I hate that game with a passion. I played against the final boss with AR codes for max damage, and the fight STILL took an HOUR! That game was so hard, it wasn't even fun for me to play -.-

Easiest: Paper Mario, just because I've ran it so many times.

Easiest:Some Disney Princess Game for the Wii. Can be beat in 4 hours, and you will never lose.
Hardest: Hmm...I'm not sure. I haven't played that many games, so i'll just say Tales of Legendia for now.

I've only played the first Ninja Gaiden but from what i have seen/heard the 2nd and 3rd NES games in the Ninja Gaiden series are harder.

since no one's mentioned BATTLETOADS, EASILY the HARDEST game known to exist, I'll assume it's on top of all the lists by default and those are the second hardest choices.

"Hardest" : Plok. Long, no save locations, cheap bosses. still fun though.
Easiest: Anything with the word "Lego" in it. Biggest penalty for death: Reappear in the exact spot you where.
I'd say Kirby's epic yarn for no way to die, but...
