What irritates me that most is sites like Reddit, and how they've killed jokes -- like memes for example --, as well as humor in general. The jokes and memes have been pushed way past the point of being funny. And the whole thing just feels like a game of who has the most karma.
Not to mention, the original content creators have any and all mentions of them erased when their stuff becomes a meme. Thus, at least, removing any satisfaction of owning something popular. Not to mention recognition and site traffic.

I basically hate anything that has to do with memes or fads. They tend to get overused up to the point where you just want to punch your computer. And sometimes people use them in such stupid conversation.

You guys are talking as if you have gone to 4chan for a while now. I'm technically underage, but I browse that site quite frequently. As far as I see, you only find the "disgusting" stuff in the random and sexual sections. The community is crap, but the only boards that are nearly as bad as you guys are talking about are the random and "adult" boards.
4chan has rules and moderators who enforce those rules. For example, you almost never see furries, ponies, or porn in the anime section. I'm not defending the site, but you guys are overreacting.

I'm sorry, but I beg to differ. I haven't been there in about a month now but from past years experience the mods don't really do jack. In fact sometimes they egg on the weird conversations and disgusting pic galleries on the more public and general boards.
