Like others have said besides those who are really into gaming and read about it and play their games the console consumer base doesn't know much about Valve. Consoles are sold now on the functionality that it brings to the whole family with games with motion gimmicks and now touch screen controllers for everyone to enjoy. You got your Just dance your kinectables and PSmove. and Of course Nintendo. Valve has the steam store which is great for those who don't already have tablets and Iphones where they can get all kinds of free games that they're more likely to enjoy. The hardcores of the console market Have their big three and unless Valve can obtain more IP besides their own for exclusives on their console there isn't much reason to buy their Steambox when you can just buy their games for the PC which will look and play better and also be cheaper.. Sony has a lot of paid off studios that make must own content and so does Microsoft. Nintendo is one of the richest in exclusive IP so Valve's box has a lot of competition on both sides of the console spectrum.

Um where did you get Cloud based out of steam box it even has specs if it was cloud based it wouldn't have specs.

I was talking about OnLive box, sorry for being vague. Now on to Steam Box. You are right, it's not cloud-based. But it is a PC-platform as well.
