check out this article from ign it says that gta v is apparently being pushed to 2013 for three reasons.

1) they want to properly polish the game (gotta love rockstar, never lazy)
2) so as not to compete with assassins creed 3 and cod directly
3) they want to give the wii u a bit more time to build up its install base

there is too much doubt on this forum that this game is gonna be on wii u.

Lets hope so. GTA would be a huge boost for post launch window for Wii-U. But I guess I already thought it was confirmed we would get it?

I'll be dissapointed if it launches in 2013. GTA5 is unquestionably my most anticipated game this year, unless Nintendo announces something amazing at E3. But then again, like you said, more polish is always good. A 2013 release definitely makes it very likely that it'll be on Wii U.

i agree, this series is probably my favourite franchise ever, second only to zelda. and i feel this one is going to be the best GTA ever, and im glad they're polishing it up well i've already stated before on this forum that the game will be coming to wii u, so im not worried about that, its waiting till 2013 that worries me, its gonna be soo hard to wait. but then again, with the wii u launch being so crowded with awesome games, im kind of glad that there is one less launch game to buy. its not like we're going to have nothing to play until gta

well rockstar usually put 1 game and let it carry throughtout the year such as max payne or La Noire.So maybe they have plans for 2012 and want to release it in q1 of 2013 where they wont face any competition from triple a titles and it will sell throughout the whole year

at the very least we can be glad it wasnt delayed a month before launch, rather we're being told a whole year away from launch. actually, just writing the words "a whole year away" made me depressed about it again XP

if it's a choice between current gen and wii u i'll go for the wii u version but if it's coming to ps4 then i'd get that.

What's your reasoning for already deciding on which version to buy without having seen gameplay of either?

Also, this would be a major chance for Nintendo to get more 3rd party support, GTA is a system seller.

Mainly because if its on current gen or Wii u I would assume graphics better on Wii u but if its on ps4 also I'd get that for the nicer controller personal choice.

Well, Yay for getting excited for nothing, This article is almost a year old..... o.O

 

Since this article, yes gta5 has been delayed, till later this year, and the reason for that delay has already been said by Rockstar that they wanted to put the rumors to rest and say that the only reason this game was delayed was to put some more polish into the game basically.

 

I would love this game to come to Wii U more than anyone else, trust me i really would as i love this franchise, but i wouldn't get your hopes to high. At best it will get ported over a while after its ran its course with psbox.
