Ok I think the Gamecube and Xbox 360 has the coolest start up and I want Nintendo to make one just as cool for the Wii U, I was so dissapointed when the Wii did not even get one, it only showed the health warning.

What do you guys think?.

Here's the Gamecube and Xbox 360 startups if nobody saw them

GameCube

Xbox 360 (new start up)

I want vines and flowers to grow across the screen to make the name Wii U. I think it might be cool to make it so there are different start ups and you can pick the one you want or just have a random one each time you start the system.

That would be cool if you can choose, but if not I think they should do something like the Wii logo dropping and then blue stuff come togather to make the U logo appear.

Yeah, the Xbox sound start-up is really cool.

Lets also hope that the Wii U doesn't make that irritating sound like the Wii does when you turn it on.
It sounds likes it's going to die when you turn it on if there's no disc in it.

I remember E3 the Wii U third party reel, there was a blue wave that appeared and would become the Wii u. I want that to be the start up screen for the Wii u.

Yeah, you've done a great job so far, letting the Metal Heads destroy the palace.

Gamecube's intro was cool.
I also liked the transcending sounds of the PS one intro.
The Dreamcast had a similar tranquility with a cool sound as the spiral was drawn.

I dont think that the Wii U's intro should be as quirky sounding as the Gamecube,
but whatever it is, it gives a sense of Nintendo.

Maybe they should let Koji Kondo compose some sort of short orchestral piece for the intro!!!

I liked how the Video in E3 2011 (the one showing the third Party game) started with the sound waves looking thing.

Video if you forgot

Another idea would be to have the start up based on the game that is in the system. If Pikmin 3 is in the system, the start up could consist of Pikmin being thrown onto the screen and forming the word Wii U.

both start ups are cool but the gamecube one is much more creative.
as for the wiiu startup i want the name to "pop" up with an orchestrated jingle and for the name to fade away into the home screen. Also the health warning on the wii was lame i always hated that thing lol there is already a warning on all the games.

I really like the ps1 start up sounds so nostalgic to me :) GC and XBOX are pretty cool. I like Dreamcast as well.

No offense, but whenever i saw mutliplatform trailers that groose ogregy x360 logo would ruin all the freaking trailer and the crappy ending scene with BUY NOW IN STORE NOW PREORDER NOW --- i HATE that. It's a trailer not an TV advertisments, obviously that's what publishers add in.

MS pays for the publishers to add that part in to increase the sales for the 360 version of games, Otherwise it would be like other trailers where it has the title and a simple icon list of the platforms at the bottom.

OH YES PLEASE! The Wii (and 3DS) lacked a start up. I like start ups! Seriously, who cares about health and safety. If you want to waste your time reading about it just take that booklet out of the box and read it. You don't have to parade us every time we turn the system on.

Come to think of it, I don't recall the N64 having an intro either.

Was GC the only Nintendo brand home console to do that?
I know their handhelds had intros tho. GBA for example.

I wouldn't consider that the 3DS's start up, because it doesn't do that when you turn it on.

A bunch of blue blocks float around in a white room. Then they all combine and turn grey to form the Wii logo, except for one. This one lands to the side of the Wii logo, and part of it is pulled down to form the white "U".*

*I think I saw this part of the animation in another video, but I can't seem to find it

What we do is, if we ever need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do?
We put the volume up to eleven. One louder.
