Since the Wii U can play Wii games, how will you get your old saved data from the Wii to the Wii U?
The Wii stores the save datas, not the disk.

Thanks in advance!

Why nobody searches on this forum?

I apologize for the poorly worded title. It should be "Wii U and Wii Game's Saved Data Question."
Even that doesn't sound right. The right wording to this has escaped my mind.

Again I apologize.

So you save the data to a SD card and put that SD card and insert it into the Wii U and save it to the Wii U?
Will your saved data still be on your original Wii?

I am sorry, I should have searched the forum. I will make sure to do this next time.

Man, I have made two mistakes already in this thread.
My brain. Ugh!

You can copy your saves from Wii System Memory to SD Card in settings, then copy them onto Wii U System Memory from your SD Card.
Unconfirmed though.

The WiiU will have an SD slot. That is also how you get your game data on other wiis.

But what about saves that are locked to the console (aka: online heavy games.)

^ This.
You won't be able to transfer some saves due to the FC system.

Trophy Cards are classy too! LOLZIGZAGOON

From what we know the Wii U will not have internal HD Memory. I wonder why though. Seems like an odd choice to me.

It's confirmed to have either 2GB or 4GB of flash memory I think. Then there's SD cards, external HDDs and USB for people who want more. I'm still hoping for an internal HDD announcement at E3 though.
